About Essential Arts
I've been passionate about natural healing for almost as long as I can remember.
As a young person, I watched my parents die of cancer, and I didn't want to suffer the same early fate. It was while studying art at the Kansas City Art Institute that I became fascinated by herbal remedies. Like a lot of students, I was burning the candle at both ends. I was run down and got sick a lot. I began visiting the local health food store. Next door was an herb shop. The first time I went there, I bought goldenseal for a cold. It cured me fast, I was sold.
In 1980, I began studying the benefits of herbs and essential oils in earnest. I discovered that there were inexpensive, effective, natural remedies for almost everything. I studied Herbology at the New Mexico Herb Institute, and apprenticed with Lucy McCall. Through the years, I've attended seminars and workshops, learning all that I could about the art of Aromatherapy and the healing power of herbs.
For decades, I've helped myself, my daughter and numerous friends using herbs and essential oils, always with positive results. When I moved to the Ozark Mountains in 1997, I decided to share these formulas with the public, and Essential Arts was born.
This is a passion and I have a mission. It brings me joy to help in healing others, to ease suffering and to relieve physical and mental pain. Essential Arts is not only my business, it's my contribution to the world.
Essentially yours,
Marietta
